Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

AoE Mobile Hub (aoemobilehub.com) is a fan-made reference site for Age of Empires Mobile, published by Double Potion. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site, who collects it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only, and not the game itself or any other site we link to.

By using this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

The short version

This is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, no contact or sign-up forms, no comments, no newsletter, and no file uploads. Every tier list, hero page, civilization page, skill page, and gift code is published content that we write in advance — nothing you do on the site is sent to us. We do not ask you for personal information, and we do not sell any information about you.

What does happen is that your browser loads analytics and advertising services from Google and Microsoft on every page. Those companies collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies, and that is the bulk of what this policy is about.

Information we collect directly

Effectively none. The site has no way to send us your details because there is nothing to submit. The only personal information we ever hold is what you choose to send us yourself — for example, if you email us at hello@doublepotion.com, we keep that message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with your request.

One small clarification about the gift codes page: the "Copy" button writes the code straight to your device clipboard using your browser. Nothing is sent to us, and we cannot see which codes you copy or whether you redeem them.

Information collected automatically

When you load a page, our hosting provider and the third party services listed below may receive and process technical data about your visit, including your device internet protocol ("IP") address, an approximate location derived from it, device type, operating system, browser and its configuration, screen size, the pages you view and how long you stay, the page or search that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Microsoft Clarity additionally records interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, which it replays as an anonymised session.

This information is collected in aggregate to tell us how the site is performing. We do not attempt to use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any other source of information about you.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files stored on your device by the sites you visit, commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. Local storage is a similar browser mechanism that keeps a small value on your device instead.

We set one value ourselves. When you dismiss the cookie banner, a cookieConsent entry is saved in your browser's local storage so the banner does not appear again. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

The analytics and advertising services below set their own first and third party cookies and similar identifiers. These are used to distinguish repeat visits, measure traffic, limit how often you see the same advert, and — depending on your Google settings — personalise advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site's content will still work, though some third party features may not.

Third party services we use

These services load on every page of the site and process data under their own privacy policies, as independent controllers of the information they collect:

  • Google Analytics Measures traffic and how pages are used, so we know which guides are worth updating.
  • Google AdSense Serves the advertising that keeps the site free, and measures whether those ads worked.
  • Microsoft Clarity Records anonymised usage metrics, heatmaps, and session replays so we can fix confusing layouts.

Our hosting provider and content delivery network also process your IP address and standard request logs in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of these third-party services, we make no warranties or representations about their privacy practices. Your interactions with these services are governed by their respective privacy policies, and we assume no responsibility for any data collection or processing performed by these third parties.

Advertising

This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site, and may use the advertising cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and change what Google uses for advertising, including turning off ad personalisation, in Google My Ad Center, and read more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner sites notice.

If you would rather not be measured by Google Analytics at all, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on. Browser-level tracking protection, private browsing, and content blockers are also effective against everything described in this policy.

How the information is used

The information described above is used to operate and secure the website, to understand which guides and tier lists are being read so we know what to update, to diagnose layout and performance problems, and to display and measure advertising. It is not used to build a profile of you for our own purposes, and it is never sold or rented.

Retention and transfers

We do not operate a database of visitors, so there is nothing on our side to retain beyond emails you send us. Analytics and advertising data is retained by Google and Microsoft according to their own retention schedules. Both are based in the United States, so the information they collect is transferred and processed outside your country of residence under the safeguards described in their privacy policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information relating to you, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we hold almost nothing ourselves, requests about analytics or advertising data are usually best directed to Google or Microsoft, whose tools and contact routes are linked above. For anything we do hold, email us at hello@doublepotion.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Security

We value your trust and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting any information we hold. However, we explicitly disclaim any warranties, express or implied, regarding the security of your data. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot and do not guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from this website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk, and we shall not be liable for any breaches of security or unauthorized access that may occur.

Links to other sites

This site links out to other websites, including sharing links to social networks and reference pages elsewhere. If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site, which we do not operate. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.

Limitation of liability

Any reliance you place on information from this website is strictly at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to our website and the use of this website, and we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of this website or any content therein. Nothing in this privacy policy will: (a) limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury; (b) limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law; or (d) exclude any of our or your liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, for example if we add or remove a third party service. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any changes will be notified by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the date at the top.
